Talbots Legal Advice Centre LLP was formed on 1st January 2008, as a separate entity to meet the requirements of clients and the demands of the Legal Services Commission.
We are a division of Talbots Solicitors (www.talbotssolicitors.co.uk), through which we deal with private client work but all Legal Aid work is now dealt with by Talbots Legal Advice Centre.
We are one of the largest providers, locally, of legal services funded by the Legal Services Commission and have teams of specialist lawyers working in criminal litigation, family and childcare law.
We have a Specialist Quality Mark in all these areas of work following internal audit of the Firm’s procedures by the Legal Services Commission, the government body responsible for the funding and supervision of all publicly funded legal work.
Our size is one of our greatest assets; we are large enough to provide specialist skills to meet our clients’ needs yet small enough to provide personal service to each and every one of our clients, and are able to attend police station interviews, and deal with emergency injunctions out of normal office hours.
