Position
Since September 2009 Ranjit has been working in our Social Welfare Dept in Stourbridge dealing mainly with housing, welfare and debt related work.
Career
After completing his Law Society finals, Ranjit started his career in 1993 as a personal injury para-legal, working with claimant personal injury lawyers, Rowley Ashworth in Wolverhampton.
He later secured a training contract with Cunningtons Solicitors in Solihull and qualified as a Solicitor in January 2000, working in their residential property department.
He then joined the residential property department of Anthony Stockton Solicitors in Coventry in 2002.
Keen to move back to Wolverhampton, in 2004 he joined the residential property department of Dunham Brindley & Linn and has since been employed by them and, more recently, the successor firm of DBL Talbots LLP.
Having worked in the field of Residential property for the last 10 years Ranjit sought new challenges and, following a period of intensive re-training, he assists the Social Welfare Department in his current role.
Education
Ranjit completed ‘0’ levels at Colton Hills School in Wolverhampton and A’ levels at Wulfrun College of Further Education (now known as Wolverhampton College)
He then moved to London to undertake his Law Degree at South Bank University where he attained a 2.1 honours degree.
He completed the final stage of his legal training at Wolverhampton University on the Law Society’s Final Examination Course.
Leisure
Ranjit enjoys socialising and partaking in the odd pint or two of real ale at his local real ale pub.
About once a month he goes to a Motown and northern soul night at different venues.
He is an avid boxing fan and often stays up late nights/ early mornings (with pint and a pizza) watching the big fights in Vegas.
He enjoys watching both modern and classic (old) films.
He also has interests in travel and history.
